Volunteers Are Essential

At Lost-n-Found Youth, volunteers are essential to our success. There are opportunities for everyone to be involved in the work we are doing to end homelessness for Atlanta’s LGBTQ+ youth. We welcome individuals and groups to sort donations at our thrift store, provide a meal at the youth center, engage in street outreach, and more.

Volunteer Opportunities available

Thrift Store

Volunteers help with processing and sorting donated items to the store. You can volunteer at the thrift store any time during business hours without first attending an orientation. Have an hour to spare? We can always use some help sorting donations. Orientation is not required, but you must sign a waiver upon arrival.

Street Outreach

Our street outreach volunteers work with our Outreach Coordinator to reach youth on the streets experiencing homelessness so that they know our services are available.

Youth Home

We engage volunteers at our transitional house to help with overnight needs. We also host groups at the transitional house to do minor repairs and yard projects.

Youth Center

Our youth center volunteers assist the youth center staff by assisting with check-in, serving meals, engaging clients in conversation and leading enrichment programs.
