(Atlanta, Georgia) – Lost-n-Found Youth is expanding its popular thrift store, known for great finds at good prices, to Gwinnett County giving OTP thrifters stymied by the I-85 closure a place to get their fix. As part of a Grand Opening celebration, the first customers to arrive on Monday morning on May 1 will be treated to coffee and doughnuts.

The new space is stocked by donations from the public and all proceeds are used to help support the programs of Lost-n-Found Youth whose mission is to help homeless and at-risk LGBTQ youth become self-sufficient.

“The opportunity to operate in this location came to us through a single donor who had opened the store for his brother to manage,” says Nasheedah Bynes-Muhammad, LNFY Deputy Director for Operations. “When his brother moved back to Mexico, he approached us at the main LNFY Thrift Store about taking over the shop. He donated many clothes, appliances, and most of the fixtures.”

“The Gwinnett store will provide us with the opportunity to reach out into a new market and offer increased convenience as a North Metro area donation center,” says Executive Director Rick Westbrook.

Both LNFY Thrift Stores accept donations of clothing, household goods, furniture, toys, appliances, and electronics, making them a destination for serious thrifters. In addition to raising funds for the organization, the Thrift Stores offer paid employment for clients who wish to gain retail work experience and outfits those who need professional clothing for job interviews.
