Melissa McMorries Joins Lost-n-Found Youth’s Board of Directors in August 2018

(Atlanta, Georgia) – Lost-n-Found Youth is pleased to announce the election of Melissa (Missi) McMorries, a partner with the law firm of Taylor English Duma LLP, to its Board of Directors. Ms. McMorries has experience in a wide variety of corporate matters ranging from mergers and acquisitions to the resolution of partner disagreements. Her work in corporate governance and transactions, coupled with her trust and estate planning experience, position her to advise both closely held and family businesses in their day-to-day and long-range planning and needs.

It is the strategic nature of her long term thinking, planning and problem solving for clients that makes her an Ideal match for our Board. Beyond her legal work, Ms. McMorries brings a wealth of non-profit experience with her. She has served on the Board of Directors/Trustees for The Atlanta Opera, Atlanta Contemporary Art Center (F/k/a Nexus Contemporary Art Center), Metropolitan Atlanta Council on Alcohol and Drugs and Georgia Hemophilia. She has also served in various executive and Board roles with the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, as Chair of the Development Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, and Board Chair. She served as Interim Executive Director for that organization twice, in 2002, and again in 2007. She has served on the vestry at her church and chaired its Buildings and Grounds Committee.

In addition to the above, Ms. McMorries has been an adjunct professor of law at Emory University School of Law since January 2012, teaching “deal skills” to second- and third-year law students enrolled in Emory’s Transactional Law Certificate Program.
