Angela Bigby, Inventory Specialist, is often the first face that many of our customers and clients see at the thrift store. She recently moved into her position as Inventory Specialist after working at Lost-n-Found Youth’s Youth Center. She now manages the client pantry by processing all donations that come in for clients, and addressing client needs, both in-person and at the Youth Center. We asked Angela a few questions about her position at Lost-n-Found Youth.
Angela, what drew you to your work at Lost-n-Found Youth? I came to an open house, and when I first visited the Youth Center, I knew that Lost-n-Found Youth was doing amazing work that I wanted to be a part of.
What makes you happy to come to work? I love knowing that I’m going to see clients (who I got to know at the Youth Center) when they come get what they need, and I love interacting with customers. Seeing all of the donations for clients really makes me happy. The community donates great things for the clients–they don’t get cheap stuff because they’re homeless—so, the clients get to feel more human and dress with dignity.
What is your favorite workday jam choice? Any jazz
If you’re in the Lost-n-Found Youth Thrift Store, be sure to say hello to Angela!
